(SCENE: The waiting room of a therapist's office. There is a row of five chairs, and at one end sits URANUS and the other sits PLUTO. They each have their arms crossed, and are eying each other suspiciously. The door to the therapist's office opens and THE SUN sticks his head out.)

SUN: Oh, hello! Nice to see you! How's everyone doing today?

URANUS: Unreasonably constricted, thank you very much.

PLUTO: Do you have to do everything for shock value, or make everything a joke? (To SUN) This guy is just here to screw with things. I can't work with someone who isn't serious.

URANUS: You're serious enough for a whole Solar System.

PLUTO: You need that. You're undisciplined.

URANUS: Oh, now you sound just like Saturn.

PLUTO: Don't bring up your old conjunctions with me! (To SUN) You see? You see that? That was a deliberate jab --

URANUS: To let you know that not everything can go according to YOUR plan!

PLUTO: (Standing up) I could completely destroy you!

URANUS: (Also standing, rolling up sleeves and making fists) The only thing you've ever destroyed is "a good time"!

SUN: (Standing between the other two to intervene) Hey, hey... planets, please. I understand you have your differences, and I know you aren't really aspecting each other that well right now... but the noise of you two fighting! It's caused all kinds of insanity! No one trusts each other, everyone is broke, all the wrong people have either got it good or got it bad... it's a mess. A real mess, folks. (pause) And you two need to talk to each other and to listen to each other before something breaks.

(URANUS AND PLUTO pause to consider this. They both sit down, one more chair closer to each other than before. They still seem suspicious but are appear willing to play along)

SUN: See? Aren't things a little better already?

PLUTO: (Quietly) Okay. So, we have our issues. But maybe talking to a therapist will help.

URANUS: (to SUN) And I admit you're doing better than I expected, so far. Where did you get your degree?

SUN: Degree? (pause) Oh. (nervous chuckle) I'm not the therapist. Umm... (clearly uncomfortable) Dr. Yablonski died of a heart attack when the bank foreclosed on his underwater home the same week he got his first medical bill for his heart... turns out it was a "pre-existing condition" and wasn't covered. Also, he argued with his Facebook friends a lot without realizing he was losing his real-world connections. And he neglected reaching out to his loved ones, and he wasn't really hearing their concerns either. And he was working himself to death paying off his debts. And frankly all the stress was making him eat terribly. (pause) This was his last week before the layoff, anyway.

(URANUS and PLUTO look at each other with a little bit of guilt)

SUN: I'm no therapist... I just entered Gemini and I realize the value of talking things out. (turns to leave) Now, you two play nice, okay...?

The jumbo aspect of Uranus squaring Pluto is the elephant in the room. Today is a significant day, with the third (at 7:02 pm EDT) of seven exact squares that will catalyze the re-imagining of our lives. Do you have planets on, near or engaging with 11 Aries and Capricorn? This square in that case, could affect you personally, rather than as a phenomenon seen -- cultural changes, revolutions, acts of rebellion, innovations, decay, decomposition and rebirth.

Against the epochal tensions, the Sun moves into the astrological sign Gemini, for a lashing of lightness. Sun into Gemini is time to talk over the garden hedge, and on social media. Under this sign, we want to hear many sides to a story, and make up our own mind.

As the Moon waxes to Full in Sagittarius (May 25th), so too does Gemini's ruler Mercury align with the planet of good times, Venus. The spirited Sagittarius Moon is ripe for breakthroughs that free the mind. With Mercury and Venus together at 12 degrees, with Jupiter not far behind (22 Gemini), it's a collaboration we enjoy with others. We're people who need people to translate our reality -- to come to new, freeing perspectives.

Keep in mind that Uranus is Mercury's higher octave, so a consciousness that's hitched to a vision of the future, goes far, fast! But that fast energy (Uranus) has to be translated to the dense material, and that's the struggle...and where we face resistance. If you have aspirations in mind at the Sagittarius Full Moon, keep in mind it doesn't have to happen overnight. That being said, with the astrological triggers in place, it very well could!

When it comes to astrology and love compatibility, so many comments are a version of "Help me, what should I do?!" Being an empathic person, I wish I could help each reader lost in a love quandary. But in answering that question for ourselves, each of us comes to greater self-knowledge.

Astrology's first gift to me, during a bad break-up, was to understand my own nature. And slowly, over time, to respect it and build my life around it -- not the other way around, by adapting to others.

It'll take some time to cover all the signs, but I begin with I'm a Virgo in Love with an Aries. It's notes from the perspective of being in Virgo's corner.

May 25th sees the final eclipse in the Gemini-Sagittarius group that's spanned November 2o1o until now. You can see it's at 4° Sagittarius. In the way of these eclipse groups, it has overlapped at one end with Cancer-Capricorn and now it's overlapping at this end with Taurus-Scorpio.

Already you can see a pattern there. You get fire-air eclipses or water-earth eclipses. These have quite a different feel, and taking note of the elements involved and comparing those to your own chart should give you a clue to how much or how little impact the eclipse will have.

This particular eclipse is mild anyway. Viewed from the earth it will be almost undetectable, and you can see from the chart that the Lunar Nodes are a good 2o° away from the Moon and Sun.

Gemini-Sag is the information axis, of course. And in this country, this period has been partially defined by the phone hacking scandal that led to both the closure of The News of the World and the Leveson enquiry. There was also the MPs expenses scandal which was exposed through the use of the freedom of information by a journalist at the Telegraph. Eclipses are endings and exposures. 



Another ending in this period has been old-fashioned print journalism. It staggers on, of course, but it will never be the same again. Sagittarius rules publishing; Gemini rules journalism. Also the ebook has finally, properly arrived. In fact, publishing is booming, just not in quite the same way it used to. It's changed, and that is one of the other roles of eclipses, the acceleration of change. It's like certain parts of the chart get pushed through a time vortex and speeded up.

after Milly Dowler.The Taurus-Scorpio eclipses are already showing a strong emphasis on the exposure of abuse scandals – old and new – including right here in Oxford, where a pedophile/trafficking ring has been jailed. I have already written about how the case in Cleveland ties in with these eclipses.

I think questions of debt – Scorpio – and expenditure –Taurus – will also be come to the fore under these eclipses.

So this final one in Sagittarius is the bookend for the information group. That doesn't mean the situation is complete. In fact, there's a big build up of planets now in Gemini, including Jupiter himself, so there's going to be media about media, news about news now. But it does signal that the spotlight is moving on, and the changeometer.

In the past few weeks there has been another revelation about the Milly Dowler case, the one which kicked off the whole hacking scandal in the first place. May she rest in peace now.

Todays card is Friendship and the rune stave is Nauthiz (need/need-fire/desperation).

Now thats a very interesting combination and suggests that on a Current Events level the Geopolitical aspects of the Star and Puzzle cards featured in this weeks projected audio reading may be taking center stage, at least for the next 24 hours. We do continue to see more active physical manifestations of the Star/Sky/Look at Below energy in the forms of tornadoes (and bad storms), continued solar flares, more media news about near-Earth asteroids and even the International Space Station.

But today (and to a lesser degree this working-week) is likely to see some strong issues that involve Peoples/Tribes/Nations and today their focus is on Friendships/treaties/alliances etc or with the Nauthiz rune (Need fire/Desperate Need) their not-so-friendly relationships with each other.

This week is likely to be a time when some countries/corporations/organizations/agencies etc, are going to be in desperate need of some help from their friends and may or may not receive it.

While Friendship is a good card over-all, there is always the aspect of the fourth friend whose hand we see on the card and who may or may not be about to join the others at the table.

We dont really know if this person is a friend or not, or even if they are if they will upset that careful balance formed by the alliance of the three friends who are already tightly seated at the table.

This is the sense I am getting off this card today on a Current-Events level, something or someone(s) may be about to upset the apple cart and something or someone(s) (probably not the trouble-maker) is likely to desperately need some help from one of the others.

I think this may be flagging a larger event on the horizon, something that could even be the first (or second) steps towards something very serious such as resignations, legal issues, conspiracy or even actual battles and warfare.

Whatever it is, it has the potential to destabilize an existing friendship or treaty network and great need (or possibly suffering) may result from this.

Also, I have to point out that my husband the rune-master associates the Nauthiz Rune with the spark of the nuclear explosions that happen naturally in stars but are directed by man for use in the creation of power generation as well as destructive weapons.

Im not going to go so far as to say that this week, we are going to see a manifestation of any of these three forms of nuclear sparks in a destructive form but the energy is there (especially with the Star Card and the Puzzle) that might make such an event easier to take place (including a solar flare, nuclear accident or even nuclear weapons which surely would affect the friendships between various nations).

Lets hope the sticks rubbing together that form the ancient need-fire are not this sort of spark, or if it is, it is a helpful manifestation like progress in safer forms of nuclear energy production or radiation in medical treatment.

That said, I have a real feeling that even if we miss-out on the more drastic forms of need-fire, there is still a lot of potential for the alliances and blocks of various national entities to look rather different from the way they do right now perhaps by the end of the week or because energies can take a while to settle, may be put in motion this week but then expressed over the next weeks or months.

This may be true in the world of business, finance, media and other areas as well look for corporate mergers (or break-ups) banking centers to merge and shift, media outlets to reorganize etcwith a special eye to financial centers like London, New York, Singapore, Dubai etc. not sure why but feel they are all places to watch especially with the idea of friendship (or unfriendship) and need/desperation in mind. This may or may not have something to do with gold/silver or other forms of cash/stocks/bonds etc, but I just feel something niggling there.

Meanwhile, for individuals we can translate this another way:

Friends need friends especially in needful or desperate times

Yes, unlike the last two weeks where the energy was all pretty much focused on the home, the cave, hiding, taking care of those under your own roof; this weeks energy points towards the inclusion of friends (especially close friends) and your friendship network as a way to cope with emotional, physical and spiritual needs during the joys and trials of the week to come.

This week it is in those you trust and get along with who are going to be your best source of comfort and inspiration, so instead of just sticking inside your personal cave it is time to get out at least a bit and visit other caves and perhaps even central hearths (like the pub in the picture which UK and Irish readers will recognize as the Corner Local) where good friends can meet, share a pint to celebrate and perhaps even unload a bit on each other; but in general help hold each other up in all sorts of emotional and even physical ways.

The Nauthiz rune does suggest a week when a lot of people are going to be feeling rather stressed, desperation, needy and worried; but the recommended coping method this week is not just to stay home with a bowl of comfort food but to get out a bit and share some of it with your best friend.

So, while we have some very worrying aspects of this reading in terms of international relationships, for personal ones it looks like this is a week to stand on old friendships as well as make a few new ones.

So, a rather more out-ward/active focused week than the last two or three; still within a small circle (rather than racing around in the outer world) but at least expanded a bit from the personal hearth and home.
